The ELSS or equity-linked savings scheme is the open-ended equity mutual fund that offers tax deduction under the base of Section 80C of the Income Tax Act, 1961. The mutual fund schemes here are equity-oriented and the only kind of mutual funds that come with tax benefits of Rs. 1,50,000 a year.
